Five Favorite Places to Eat in, or around, Rosemary Beach.

October 19, 2023

I’ve decided to kick off the blog featuring Rosemary Beach and some of the great places to eat around the area. On all of 30a Rosemary stands out to me because its where I landed my first real sushi job, and its where I learned the most about cooking in general. I started out at a place called Aqua Sushi and I had an amazing mentor, on top of that Rosemary beach is just beautiful. I feel like the posh design of Aly’s Beach, the square in Seaside, the natural beauty of Blue Mountain Beach all just can’t really compete with the cobble stone roads and Euro aesthetics of Rosemary Beach. So, with that, here are my top 5 favorite places to go out to eat in (or around) Rosemary Beach!

5. Lola Coastal Italian

This place is just great, the laid-back atmosphere, the menu choices, the specials, all of it. You can’t go wrong with anything on this menu really, the chicken piccata is always a hit for me but honestly i almost always have to flip a coin to decide between that and the Oster Ravioli. Really no matter what you order here you’re going to leave happy, especially if you end the meal with a piece of their tiramisu.

4. Cowgirl Kitchen

Cowgirl Kitchen was my go-to breakfast spot all through my apprenticeship at Aqua. I was young, broke, and always hungry. So, most mornings you could catch me on my break headed there to grab their breakfast burrito because it was so good and there was so much to it! It’s not the fanciest place on 30a, but honestly that’s one reason it made this list. It’s rare to find places that are affordable and where the meal you order is going to leave you feeling fat and happy with leftovers to boot.

3. LaCo

I feel like I have to include a Mexican spot on this list, especially since Mexican, Italian, and Japanese are my top 3 favorite kinds of food. I’m also super happy that I get to include LaCo on this list because of how absolutely amazing the food is here, plus you can get margaritas, yes… just yes. If you’re like me where a plate of enchiladas will just kind of fix anything that’s going on in your life, head to Seacrest and check out LaCo. They have everything you need and vegetarian options beyond the typical side of rice and beans.

2. Pescado

This place is a staple in Rosemary Beach. You can’t not try it at least once during your stay down here. Pescado is just as iconic to Rosemary Beach as the cobblestone streets, the town hall, and the farmer’s market. Try the brunch, call ahead make dinner reservations, and just really treat yourself. The staff is amazing, and the food is even better. Do a formal night with friends, or maybe you’ve got a special someone you want to impress… Pescado is the answer.

1. The Citizen

So, take everything I’ve said so far about quality, atmosphere, selections, and everything, and you have The Citizen. This place is so great. The drink selection, the specials, the people, the atmosphere, all of it. I have never once had a bad experience here and I’ve never had a meal I didn’t love, make sure that while you’re in the area you treat yourself to at least one meal, or even a drink, at The Citizen.

I really hope everyone takes the time to check these places out during their visit to 30a, or if you’re a local i hope that I’ve helped you find some new favorite spots of your own. I’m going to be updating this blog as often as possible, and I’m going to try to keep each entry fresh and exciting. Feel free to reach out if you want more information on anything we’ve covered or in anything that you might want to read about in my blog. Also don’t forget that i am always at your service when it comes to those days where you just don’t feel like going out, or if you want the absolute best sushi in the area, check out my page and send me a message and let’s start planning a way to make your next meal something truly unforgettable.
